Our check-in counter staff will let you know whether your baggage will be transferred to your final destination.
In most cases you will need to clear arrival customs and immigration, collect your checked baggage from the arrival baggage claim and proceed to the check-in counter of your connecting flight for departure formalities in accordance with the operating airline’s check-in policy. For this purpose, please ensure you have a valid visa for the country of transit if you require one.
In other cases, your checked baggage will be tagged and delivered to your final destination:
- If you’ve purchased the Scoot-Thru transfer service*. You will not need to claim your baggage or clear arrival customs and immigration. Simply proceed to the Transfer E desk at the transit area to collect your onward boarding pass. Your baggage will be re-tagged for your onward flight;
- If you’ve booked an interline journey after 1 July 2015 connecting with Singapore Airlines or SilkAir flights;
- If you’ve booked an interline journey connecting with Virgin Australia flights, AND you are departing Australia (more details here).
* Scoot-Thru is currently available in Singapore only, for connections between Scoot flights or interline connections between Scoot and Tigerair.
